Mio Sushi History
In 1995, Sonny Kim and his wife, Joon, opened their first Mio Sushi restaurant in
a small Victorian house in Portland, OR. With over 20 years of experience as sushi
chef, Sonny created a full-service Japanese restaurant with a menu that combines
classic and creative fusion dishes, reflecting the local flavors and ingredients of the
Pacific Northwest.
Today, we have grown to a family of eight restaurants in Portland metro area,
and locations in Bend and Eugene. More locations are coming soon. Mio Sushi
has been committed to providing the best quality possible at reasonable prices for
the whole family and our dedication to this philosophy is as strong as ever. We are
constantly looking for sources of fresh fish and produce and have been able to pass
the cost savings to our customers.
